About the role
 
The Director of Commercial – Business Intelligence leads the organisation’s business intelligence and commercial insights function across hospitals, aged care, home care, and residential support services. The role delivers actionable insights that enable informed decision-making, optimise funding and commercial performance, improve operational efficiency, and support sustainable growth and positive client and patient outcomes. As part of the Commercial & Strategy function, the Director partners closely with executive, clinical, and operational leaders to translate data into strategic and operational outcomes.

 

 
Your main duties will include:
 
  • Shape and execute the commercial strategy across all service streams: acute care, aged care, home care, and disability/residential support.
  • Provide deep market, funding, and regulatory insights to support planning, service expansion, pricing, and portfolio optimisation.
  • Lead commercial modelling for new services, capital investments, and strategic initiatives across the care continuum.
  • Evaluate Pricing models, discounting behaviour and elasticity and recommend pricing changes based on data
  • Monitor sector trends and translate them into commercial opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive insights that improve revenue integrity, reduce leakage, and enhance funding performance across hospital DRGs, aged care AN‑ACC, home care packages, and NDIS billing
 
About you
  • Senior leadership experience in commercial analytics, BI, or strategy within health, aged care, community services, or a similarly complex service environment.
  • Strong understanding of sector‑specific data and funding models (e.g., DRG, HCP, NDIS pricing).
  • Proven ability to translate data into commercial and operational improvements across multi‑site or multi‑service organisations.
  • Expertise in BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau), data modelling, and advanced analytics.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence clinical and non‑clinical leaders.
  • Demonstrated success leading high‑performing analytical teams.
