Job Duties
The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is seeking applicants for the position of Housekeeper. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to join our team! This position is responsible for performing custodial duties on the properties of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation.
This position works various shifts to support 7 day a week operations for two museums. Shifts will typically fall between the hours of 6:00am-4:00pm. Schedules are provided with advance notice.
This is a wage position limited to 1500 hours per year (which equates to about 29 hours or less a week) with no state benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
-Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
-Ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks.
-Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects; to stand for extended periods; and to perform manual labor, including handling objects weighing over 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Additional Considerations
-Proven ability of understanding and use of cleaning methods and safety practices related to this field of work is preferred.
-Experience with event set up and breakdown.
