This position serves the Office of Epidemiology by supporting the development and implementation of state-level public health policy that relates to programs within the office. The Policy Manager will lead efforts to support the regulatory process and the legislative process with a focus on policy that relates to communicable disease surveillance, prevention and control. Drafts and/or reviews responses to constituent inquiries and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Supervises the communications coordinator. Conducts outreach to stakeholders to solicit input. Serves as a senior advisor to the Office Director and Office leadership team.
