| The Department of Criminal Justice Services is seeking a collaborative and innovative team player to serve as a full-time Administrative Support Specialist in Richmond, Virginia. This position provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and program support for the Critical Incident Preparedness and Response (CIPR) Program, with secondary support to the Division of Public Safety Training and the Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety (PST-VCSCS). The primary focus of this role is to support CIPR’s community-focused and first responder-focused preparedness initiatives across the Commonwealth. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting state and local government agencies, first-responder personnel (including law enforcement, fire services, EMS, and dispatch), public school divisions, institutions of higher education, and community stakeholders engaged in critical incident preparedness and response. Responsibilities include coordinating administrative processes, maintaining training and program records, supporting enrollment and certification tracking, preparing reports and communications, managing data systems, and assisting with the dissemination of program resources. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment supporting public safety, emergency preparedness, and community resilience.
