The purpose of the position is to collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to provide direction and support for academic and non-academic programs, departments, and units with the assessment of student learning and program effectiveness to data collection and report on assessment and student achievement/success to ensure compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), specialized programmatic accreditations, State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and federal standards.
Reporting to the Director of Assessment, the Assistant Director of Assessment will provide day-to-day coordination and management of activities to maintain and sustain a culture of assessment institution wide. The position will support developing and monitoring goals, outcomes, and objectives that align with the university’s strategic initiatives and are measurable to foster evidence-based improvements and planning. |
