District Traffic Engineer Fairfax County, Virginia
NOVA VDOT is seeking a District Traffic Engineer to provide strategic leadership, management, and direction to the District Traffic Engineering Section. You will direct traffic engineering studies, plan reviews, project management, land development support, and data collection. Address roadway safety and operational problems for all modes of travel through a process of conducting traffic engineering studies, analyses, and preparation of recommended solutions. Assess and establish District Traffic Program priorities including developing inventories for traffic assets. Provide final approval PE signatory authority for the design and installation of all traffic control devices on the roadway system. Position may also provide strategic leadership, management, and direction to Traffic Control Device Maintenance forces to include inspection, condition assessment, maintenance, repair, and installation of traffic control devices.
Engineer- Preliminary Engineering Fairfax County, Virginia
VDOT NOVA DISTRICT is Seeking an Engineer for Preliminary Engineering to assist in delivery of District's transportation program within Loudoun County by representing interests of jurisdictions and representation of VDOT's interest to the jurisdiction with regard to VDOT planning, preliminary engineering, construction, maintenance and operational processes. You will provide management and oversight to MPOs, PDCs and localities for the metropolitan and rural transportation planning functions. Manage staff and coordinate with local and regional planning entities on planning activities. You will provide oversight, coordination, and support for related matters with the Central Office and local governments to enhance on-going communication and coordination for planning activities.

NOVA VDOT Location and Design section is seeking a Sr. Project Management Engineer to oversee design and preparation of preliminary, right of way and final contract plans for a wide range of projects related to highways, structures, drainage and environmental issues including the larger projects managed by VDOT in L & D. Monitor and direct work activities and resources necessary to complete assigned projects. Will monitor the Dashboard status of the projects managed for On-Time and On-Budget delivery. Manage the District's Interstate and Primary design projects to ensure projects are completed on-time and on-budget. Work with District Urban Programs Office by providing project management services for VDOT and Locally Administered urban area projects.
