| The Division of Pharmacy Services (DPS) is nested within the Office of Epidemiology. DPS facilitates timely delivery of lifesaving medications across the Commonwealth, supporting numerous programs within the Virginia Department of Health. The Director will contribute meaningfully to the mission and strategic goals of Virginia Department of Health by fostering a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and service.
Applicants must exemplify sound judgement, independence, and effective decision-making in high-pressure environments while modeling continuous improvement, transparency, and integrity. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented leader with exceptional communication, and organizational skills who can serve as a role model for pharmacy staff.
This position requires on-site support most days with limited standard telework of 1 day or less, based on operational business needs. |
