The successful candidate will assist with the improvement of the 2-year Mechatronics program that is aligned with the industry needs. The Program Director’s duties will include recruiting of students into the program and teach a selection of classes. The program is designed to be both day and an evening/ weekend program. Appointment to this position may require some weekend or evening commitments. The Program Director will represent the program to internal and external constituencies and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the program. This includes scheduling of classes, searching/screening applications for part-time and full-time faculty position and maintain the teaching laboratory. The Program Director will be based at Roane State’s Anderson County Higher Education Center, frequent off-campus travel is expected.

The Welding Technology Associate Instructor is responsible for instructing incarcerated individuals inside a correctional facility in order to prepare them to re-enter the job market in the welding field. This position is full-time and reports to the Turney Center Program Coordinator. Applicants selected for an interview will be required to tour the Turney Center facility. Scheduled work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
