Part Time Faculty- Political Science

| Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. Columbia State offers classes at five campuses: Columbia Campus, Williamson Campus, Lawrenceburg Campus, Lewisburg Campus, and Clifton Campus. Columbia State also offers classes at several off-campus locations and clinical sites. |

| The overall purpose of the Instructor of English is to teach freshman composition (including dual enrollment at local high schools and at various campuses as needed), sophomore literature, learning support reading and writing, special interest courses, and independent study courses. |

| Provide instruction in Theatre, Music, and other Humanities courses as needed; supervise development of comprehensive Theatre program; direct two theatre productions per academic year; coordinate partnership with community theatre organizations to include shared rehearsal space and possible joint productions. |

| The Natural Sciences Division offers biology courses for general biology (introductory and major’s level), anatomy and physiology, microbiology, ecology, conservation, and plant sciences. The faculty member will be expected to teach courses in all content areas where he/she is qualified. |
