| Jackson State Community College seeks a full-time instructor to teach college level and co-requisite support math courses appropriate for a two-year college curriculum. Math faculty help students advance their math skills in preparation for working in professional environments, furthering academic study, and developing careers. The teaching assignment may include online classes, virtual classes, day and evening classes, and teaching at off-campus locations, and the faculty member is responsible for the success of the teaching and learning process within the classroom. Other responsibilities include student advising, professional development, service on committees, curriculum development, participation in campus and system-wide initiatives, learning new instructional technologies and modalities, assessment, and collaborative work with faculty and staff. Math faculty work closely with other faculty, department chairs, deans, and college personnel to promote student success. |
