Job Summary

The RCAM Carpentry Lab Instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering standardized lab content to support industrial training programs in a hands-on lab environment.

Job Duties

 • Deliver carpentry lab training content

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for advanced development work of industrial programs

• Drive improvement in process effectiveness and efficiency

• Promote the carpentry program to recruit apprentices/students from area businesses and high schools

• Adhere to RCAM schedule and inclement weather policies, which may differ from other NESCC schedules and/or closures.

• Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be craft qualified at the journeyman level in Carpentry.
• Experience working in a construction setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• AS Degree in a related field.
• Experience teaching Carpentry.
• NCCER Certified Instructor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Technology Skills: MS Office skills, Word, Excel, Access; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems.
• Must be capable of learning new technology and apply the new technology in the lab environment .
