| The role of Instructional Design Specialist is to a) provide instructional design expertise in the development, support, and evaluation of online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced courses and b) assist faculty, staff, and students with use of software and identified IT operational systems of Distance Learning and other college technologies. This involves working with faculty to design, develop, create, and evaluate high quality courses that incorporate best practices in andragogy, heutagogy, and the use of digital content. The Instructional Designer primarily serves as a consultant to help faculty with course design, teaching/learning strategies, assessment, technology, and instructional development projects. |

| Position Summary: The position helps spearhead the College's retention efforts through coordination of planning, implementation, and execution of strategies to improve retention, progression, and graduation rates for all students through focused and strategic interventions. The position will manage a caseload of students across all five Pellissippi State Campus locations, focusing on in-person meetings, mentoring, advising, and coaching to close equity gaps and facilitate success in College. The position assists with planning and supporting new student onboarding through contextualized orientation sessions and welcome event. Additionally, the incumbent will support re-entry pathways for students experiencing academic probation and suspension. The job's overall purpose involves developing meaningful relationships with students through proactive and intentional support. |

Workforce Engagement Specialist

| This position is responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the Xenegrade Workforce Development non-credit student system which includes managing the course registration system, ensuring compliance with academic policies, and delivering exceptional service to students and faculty. This position will also work alongside the marketing department to coordinate and execute the department’s social media strategy. Additonally, the position will be responsible for campus Facilities Use Agreements, coordinating with requestors and writing contracts, and scheduling all internal and external facility usage, and assisting with event set up both on and off campus. |
