Health Care Support Associate Athens
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Athens is accepting applications for the position of Health Care Support Associate. This is a full-time, grant-funded position designed to support health science program expansion, student success, and project development as outlined in the grant objectives. The Health Care Support Associate will work to promote and grow health science pathways, support student engagement, and ensure successful implementation of grant initiatives through high school partnerships, clinical coordination, and community outreach. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. Also, managing agreements with flight training providers with the goal of increasing student completions in the pilot program. The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, and occasionally weekends of any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned.

This position provides operational leadership and management for all core human resources functions at Southwest Tennessee Community College, ensuring that HR practices are compliant, efficient, and service-focused in support of the College’s mission, values, and strategic planning. The Director leads the daily operations of the People & Culture division, overseeing talent acquisition, benefits administration, classification and compensation, performance management systems, employee relations, leave administration, compliance, and records management. Serving as the operational anchor of the People & Culture division, the Director ensures consistency, accuracy, and service excellence across all HR processes. The Director collaborates closely with the Vice President, senior leadership, and campus stakeholders to evaluate service delivery models, optimize HR workflows, and strengthen employee engagement and institutional effectiveness.

The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. This position will required to teach both college-level and learning support courses. The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations.
