Under the supervision of the Program Director and/or Lead Faculty, Adjunct Instructors have as their chief duty the instruction of assigned classes, providing quality instruction for student learning and maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom. Classes are taught in a variety of formats (virtual, online, hybrid, on-ground). Responsibilities for Adjunct Instructors include conducting classes using appropriate instructional practices, maintain records of attendance, evaluate student performance on assignments or lab activities, assign midterm grades, assign final grades, utilize faculty feedback, complete mandatory training as needed, and perform other duties as assigned. Beyond teaching responsibilities, Adjunct Instructors are also obligated to comply and support college policies as set forth in the Strategic Plan, the College Catalog, the Adjunct Faculty Handbook, and the Employment Agreement.
Maintenance Mechanic	Jackson
Working under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, Mechanic Lead Worker or designee. Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the general and technical maintenance and repair of all facilities, equipment and furnishings involving a variety of building trades. Performs assigned tasks to maintain the physical operations of the college, aesthetics of all facilities, and ensure a safe environment of students and staff. Work includes working with skilled tradesmen, helpers, and laborers in the daily maintenance tasks, as well as emergency repairs that are required to be completed.

The specialist uses appropriate social media tools to post job vacancies and identify suitable applicants for the College. This position will partner with the management team to promote, develop, and encourage employee growth through an equitable internal hiring and promotion process. Work effectively to ensure the talent acquisition processes is in compliance with local, state and federal employment and labor laws, as well as those pertaining to the Tennessee Board of Regents. The successful specialist is an excellent communicator, team player, who can build relationships with supervisors, employees, and leaders alike

Part-time / Substitute Instructors are responsible for delivering quality instruction in their field of expertise as it relates to the programs offered at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville, one of our extension campuses located in Winchester and Fayetteville TN., or at a specific teaching location. This posting is not a guarantee of an open position. Applications for adjunct faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.
