A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in various formats (on-line, in person, video-conferencing, or any combination of methods) in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. Instruction may take place at any of the college’s campuses, at a clinical partner facility, or at a designated temporary location. Faculty also provide academic advising and facilitate student success. Technology tools are routinely used to communicate with and support students. Faculty participate in divisional and institutional activities related to the college’s mission, engage with communities of interest, and promote college programs.
Faculty accepting the appointment of program directors have certain administrative responsibilities in addition to their faculty responsibilities. |
Part-Time Faculty - Emergency Medical Services

Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. Columbia State offers classes at five campuses: Columbia Campus, Williamson Campus, Lawrenceburg Campus, Lewisburg Campus, and Clifton Campus. Columbia State also offers classes at several off-campus locations and clinical sites. |
Administrative Technical Support II

The Administrative Technical Support II position primarily supports the administrative/technical/logistical functions of the External Affairs Division, including technical support of events (SOAR, Workforce Convenings, Foundation Board Meetings, and TBR Quarterly Board Meetings). Secondary support responsibilities include the Regional Workforce Coordinators and TCAT Web Services.
This position may have the opportunity to work remote within the state of Tennessee but with periodic visits to the TBR System Office (Nashville, TN) at the employee’s expense, and potential travel to Tennessee TBR colleges may be necessary. |
