| This position will provide holistic student support services, intrusive academic advising and outreach to new students. The incumbent will guide students through the entire on-boarding, enrollment and advisement process which includes but is not limited to areas such as admissions, career counseling, financial aid, academic planning, academic advising, and class scheduling. The incumbent will respond to alerts for at-risk students provided by college staff and work closely with college resources including counseling, disability services, and testing as support mechanisms. This position will serve as a mentor and coach throughout the academic tenure of assigned student, supporting them from enrollment to graduation (in collaboration with faculty advisors upon the student’s completion of select benchmarks).

College Success Advisor and Retention Technology Specialist

| The Advising, Student Success & Retention Technology Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for technology integration, data collection, and analysis within the advising department. The position supports student success and retention through data-informed strategies, effective use of advising technologies, and direct student engagement.
The incumbent monitors all Charger Center computer labs, ensuring hardware and software functionality, and serves as liaison between the advising staff and the Information Technology (IT) department. The Specialist also maintains a student advising caseload, provides leadership and supervision for student workers, manages departmental communications, and leads the use and optimization of case management and student success software tools.
This is an on-ground (in-person) position based at Columbia State Community College. Primary duties require consistent on-campus presence and regular interaction with students, faculty, and staff. |

| The MOSAIC coordinator will support the execution of the Pellissippi State’s comprehensive strategic plan through the coordination and assessment of programming aimed at student matriculation and retention as outline the College’s RCCE Grant application. The MOSAIC Coordinator plans, implements, and assesses Title III-funded programming that supports the persistence, retention, credit accumulation, belonging, and career development of first-generation students. Working with the MOSAIC Program Lead and Title III Project Director, the coordinator provides individualized success coaching to an assigned caseload, leads student ambassador and study-away programming, coordinates services with campus and community partners, and maintains the documentation and reporting required for program management and Title III compliance. |

| This is a full-time, term position, academic-year faculty appointment within the Department of Allied Health. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The instructor is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. Supports the program coordinator to help assure effective program operation.
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, administration, and review of the effectiveness of the clinical experiences. The Clinical Coordinator assigns students to clinical sites, ensures facility onboarding requirements are satisfactorily met prior to the start of rotations, maintains clinic-related documentation, and verifies students’ clinical performance. The Clinical Coordinator serves as the point of contact for the clinic sites. The Clinical Coordinator will foster positive, professional relations with existing sites and cultivate new clinical sites. In order to achieve this goal, it is expected that the Clinical Coordinator will maintain consistent communication with clinical trainers and make regular visits to the sites where students are being trained. The Clinical Coordinator also teaches in the classroom and laboratory and participates in college activities.
At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations. |
