Anatomy & Physiology Instructor TCAT - McMinnville Campus Title: Anatomy & Physiology Instructor Classification: Part-time adjunct faculty Office Location: TCAT - McMinnville, 241 Vo Tech Dr., McMinnville, TN 37110 (transitioning to Coffee County Campus) Hours: 80 hours/trimester Supervises: n/a Reports to: Nursing Coordinator Salary: $35/hour Minimum Qualifications: • Coursework in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution • Minimum of three years’ professional teaching experience in Anatomy & Physiology or related discipline. • Strong knowledge of human body systems, physiology, and related laboratory practices. • Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction. • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students. • Commitment to student success and workforce preparation. • Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license. General Duties: This adjunct instructional position will provide high-quality, competency-based instruction in Anatomy & Physiology to prepare students for careers in healthcare and related fields. Key Responsibilities – Essential Job Functions: • Deliver engaging lectures and demonstration sessions in accordance with the program curriculum and guidelines. • Develop and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments. • Evaluate and record student performance, maintaining accurate attendance and grade records. • Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in Anatomy & Physiology and related healthcare fields. • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and support to students. • Collaborate with faculty and administration to improve instructional quality and student learning outcomes. • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the classroom. • Contribute to program accreditation efforts and institutional assessment activities. • Maintain confidentiality of student records and institutional information. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Coordinator. Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA Requirements): • Standing, walking, and demonstration in a classroom setting. • Lifting and moving instructional equipment, materials, and supplies (up to 40 lbs). • Operating a motor vehicle for travel within the college service area. Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Instructors will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT - McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following: Sex Offender Registry, County Criminal & Federal Criminal. CDL Driver (Part-Time) Title: CDL Driver (for Mobile Trailer) Classification: Temporary, Part-Time, “Grant-Funded” (Days, few evenings – Non-Exempt – Hourly) Office Location: TCAT - McMinnville, 241 Vo Tech Dr., McMinnville, TN 37110 Hours: Varies; available when needed with advance notice; expected to be approximately 100 hours/year Salary: $35/hour Reports to: Fiscal Coordinator Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED Equivalency. • Valid Tennessee Class A CDL. • Safe driving record and proof of insurance. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule. • Ability to work independently or in groups. • Ability to communicate effectively in writing with good public speaking and presentation skills in a “hands-on” equipment demonstration. • Ability to exercise good judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior knowledge or experience working and/or training others in various career technical education programs. • Prior secondary or post-secondary experience. General Duties: The CDL Driver will transport the mobile trainer to various locations for events, including elementary, middle, and high schools. • The driver will assist TCAT – McMinnville staff/students in demonstrating classroom equipment and skills for various TCAT – McMinnville programs on the mobile training trailer at each location. • The driver will be responsible for properly loading and securing training stations on the mobile training trailer prior to departure. • The driver will be responsible for ensuring proper set-up for demonstrations at each location and securing equipment in-transit. • The driver will be responsible for unloading and storing training stations in original locations at the end of each trip. • The driver will be responsible for leveling and balancing the trailer with jacks. • The driver will also help move the semi-trailers and semi-trucks as needed. Key Responsibilities – Essential Job Functions • Transport the mobile trainer and training equipment to a variety of locations. • Learn and utilize trainer equipment for demonstrations for both K-12 and adults. • Assist TCAT – McMinnville staff/students with demonstrations and recruiting students for programs at these events. • Complete mileage and inventory reports at the end of each trip. • Other related duties, as assigned.
