| The Online Geography Instructor is responsible for teaching geography courses in a fully online environment using the D2L Brightspace learning management system. This position requires effective communication, timely responsiveness to students, and accurate recordkeeping and reporting. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in Geography, Geosciences, or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Geography or Geosciences. Preference is given to candidates with a master’s degree in Geography or Geosciences, previous online teaching experience, and proficiency with D2L Brightspace. Applicants must be Tennessee residents and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and student support skills. |

| Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. Columbia State offers classes at five campuses: Columbia Campus, Williamson Campus, Lawrenceburg Campus, Lewisburg Campus, and Clifton Campus. Columbia State also offers classes at several off-campus locations and clinical sites.
This position is primarily located on the Williamson County Campus. |

SSS Academic Coordinator

| The SSS Academic Coordinator is responsible to the TRIO Director. The primary purpose is to recruit, counsel, arrange academic and other support services for eligible DSCC students who are first generation college and/or low-income students in order for them to successfully complete their degree.
Student Support Services is part of the federal TRIO programs through the Department of Education. The program is designed to help first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities progress through college to earn a degree. The services provided include but are not limited: advising, tutoring, advice and assistance in course selection, provide information on financial aid, financial literacy education, and assist students in transferring to a four-year institution. |
