Diesel Powered Equipment Associate Instructor	Elizabethton	13 Sep 2026
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Elizabethton is seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, and student-focused Diesel-Powered Equipment Technology Associate Instructor to provide instruction and deliver high-quality training in a hands-on, open-enrollment technical education environment. The Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering instruction that prepares students for employment in the diesel and heavy equipment industry. The successful candidate will provide instruction in the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of diesel-powered equipment and related systems while creating an engaging learning environment for students with varying levels of experience and technical ability. Because the college operates with an open-enrollment philosophy, the instructor must be committed to meeting students where they are and helping them develop the technical, employability, and problem-solving skills necessary for success. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the Instructor will assist with program planning and improvement, maintain industry relationships, support student recruitment and retention, and help ensure the program remains aligned with current industry standards and workforce needs.
Technical Clerk I	Knoxville
The overall purpose of this job is to provide assistance with the enrollment process for incoming and returning students and their families, and to process all admissions documentation. Technical clerks also determine when a student is ready to register for classes and if the student is admissible to the College.
Health Science/Simulation Laboratory Technician	Knoxville
The overall purpose of this job is to assist in setting up and maintaining Health Science labs, primarily Surgical Technology, Radiologic Technology, and Nursing as needed site campuses with the required supplies, materials, and equipment for the faculty. This includes repackaging supplies, assisting to set up the Operating Room, coordinating equipment with the coordinators and in hospital lab spaces, and cleaning equipment. This position is also responsible for handling and coordinating delicate and expensive equipment at the site campuses and affiliated hospitals.

Associate Instructor, Evening Barbering Clks	Clarksville
The Evening Barbering Associate Instructor is responsible for providing individualized theory and hands-on instruction to prepare students for employment as Barbers. The Barbering Associate Instructor will develop, plan, and prepare a complete and progressive course of study including lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides among other duties. This is not a remote position; all instruction is delivered in-person. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Class schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. This is a grant-funded position.

Providing the student with timely information and feedback on his/her academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects; maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic performance; and possessing thorough knowledge and understanding of all college policies. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in professional activities and organizations.
