Reporting to the Executive Director of News and Content, the Director of Multiplatform Communications and Special Projects will collaborate across the Office of University Branding (OUB) and manage a small team of writers, videographers, and student interns focused on producing stories, short-form videos, and audio stories/podcasts, and engaging additional writers, producers, videographers, photographers, graphic designers, and editors, as needed.
This role includes producing a monthly podcast with the President called “Access to Excellence” and requires close collaboration with OUB Creative, Digital and Social Teams, as well as graphic designers, producers, editors, media relations, and communications leads across the university.
The ideal candidate is an active consumer of news, digital video, and podcast development with strong communications and storytelling skills and editorial judgment, alongside an understanding of the evolving digital landscape and changing audience behaviors |
Global Faculty-Led Programs Administrator

George Mason University’s Office of University Branding (OUB) is looking for a dynamic, community-driven, detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join the Mason Social Media team to create, film, and produce high-quality video content for George Mason University’s President’s social media channels (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook) and support the official Mason’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok).
The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the University President, Deputy Vice President of Media and Communications, the Social Media team as well as with individuals across the Office of University Branding and other departments. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Coordinator will play a key role in advancing the university’s key priorities, and the voice and image of the University President and the George Mason University brand on social media. |
