Assistant for EGRS365 requires experience using Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, and the equipment used in the course (high speed counter, LVDT, ADC, etc.). The assistant will provide afterhours help to students during the semester. Primarily answering questions and helping debug issues in the student’s code. |

Robotics Lab Assistant

The Robotics Lab Assistant work involved in the Robotics Center will include Robotics lab demo upgrades, development of demo projects for tours, assistance with diagnosing and troubleshooting robotics and accessory equipment, and monitoring/verifying proper functionality of lab safety devices. Other activities involve conducting lab tours, developing PR materials, student recruitment efforts, video editing, and representing LSSU Robotics at booths in national conferences and exhibitions. |
Student Engineering Support for CAS 124

Mission Design and Automation has been contracted - using insurance funding - to rebuild the robotics systems damaged by the CAS fire in CAS124. Each of the completed systems will need to be tested to make sure the acceptance criteria as described in the scope of work have been met. Being automation systems, each of the tests will include running multiple cycles over several hours for verifying robust operation. All documentation, demos, and labs must also be reviewed, run several times, and edited for LSSU specific use. 2-3 students will be hired to assist faculty members with these tasks. |
