25 Summer Camp Counselor

The Admissions Office will host a range of activities from Summer Camps, Orientation events, and Open Houses during May, June, July, and August 2025. We are looking for energetic, reliable, and responsible counselors to provide supervision for prospective students during our Summer Camp and Admissions event activities. Participant ages will range from 1st to 12th grade. Counselors will provide a healthy, safe, and memorable experience for campers or event participants. Some travel may occur across the EUP, which would depart from campus. Applicants must use discretion in regards to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) when discussing participant information with parents or other outside members. Training will be provided in First Aid and CPR. Some evening or weekend work may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead group events, monitor campers, and respond to incidents, such as behavioral problems or accidents. May require keeping track of allergies or medical needs.
- Monitoring campers to ensure compliance of camp rules and prevent accidents.
- May need to provide campus tours or other duties related to meeting with prospective students and their families. Some office work may be needed. |

Admissions Student Ambassadors are a vital part of the recruitment of prospective students and are employed directly by the Admissions Office at Lake Superior State University. Student Ambassadors are a select group of students dedicated to the positive promotion of the Institution and are an essential component of LSSU’s public relation and outreach. |
NGSX Student Coordinator

CFRE 2025 Summer Student Research Technician

CFRE is seeking applicants for ~12 summer positions to support ongoing research activity. Projects include the following:
Great Lakes Coastal Wetland monitoring
Lake sturgeon research
Didymo (invasive algae) research
St. Marys River water level changes
Fish habitat research in the Straits of Mackinac
Little Rapids restoration evaluation
Oil spill research--biology and chemistry
Applicants for research projects should be comfortable in and around water, tolerant of biting insects and harsh weather. |
