Admissions Counselor Elon University Campus
Recruits prospective first-year students, with particular emphasis on those from assigned territory, through the preparation and execution of independent travel including visits to high schools, college fairs, and individual student and family meetings. Manages the application review and decision-making process for territory and communicates with high school constituents as appropriate. Conducts information sessions in support of the campus visit program and meets with visiting students and parents as necessary. Responsible for conducting yield outreach to students and families, including but not limited to the hosting of events, meetings on and off campus, and phone and email campaigns. Responds to written, phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
Director of Leadership and Professional Development Elon University Campus
The Director of Leadership & Professional Development provides leadership for the creation and advancement of training and professional development programs designed to maximize the ability of Elon University staff and faculty to perform their current and future jobs and to be engaged in the life of the university. The Office of Leadership & Professional Development (OLPD) supports Elon University's mission by fostering a culture of learning and professional development and facilitating a variety of growth opportunities while nurturing an inclusive and holistic approach to individual learning and institutional development. OLPD supports a wide range of programs and groups including, individual and group (department or division) programming, the grant in aid program to support individual professional development, Lunch and Learns, coaching programs, Employee Resource Groups, the Enhanced Supervision Program. The Director serves as the primary and lead administrator and represents the OLPD across campus.
Assistant Director of Internships, Love School of Business Elon University Campus
The Assistant Director of Internships, Love School of Business (LSB) reports to the Director of Internships for the Love School of Business and supports student efforts in securing internships, monitoring the internships, and assessing the performance of students completing their internships for academic credit. Additionally, the Assistant Director will coordinate aspects of the Porter Center’s involvement in BUS 1110 (Gateway to Business) course. The Assistant Director will interact with students, internship supervisors, employers, the external community, as well as relevant Elon staff and faculty. This position works within the Porter Family Professional Development Center with four other full-time staff members and a team of student ambassadors who serve as the first point of contact within the Porter Center.
Academic Support Fellow Elon University Campus
Elon University’s Koenigsberger Learning Center is pleased to announce a fellowship position to begin July 15, 2025. The KLC is a centrally-located academic support hub comprised of three offices: Academic Advising, Academic Accommodations & Accessibility, Learning Assistance. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Academic Support Fellow appointed to this temporary, 10-month position will collaborate with staff in all three offices. Renewal for a second year (July 15, 2026-May 15, 2027) is possible with supervisor approval. The Academic Support Fellow will have ongoing professional development and mentorship opportunities, including: (1) being cross-trained on office processes and procedures in all KLC offices; (2) participating in weekly 1:1 meetings with supervisor to reflect on learning, identify grown opportunities, and locate new areas for exploration; (3) attending and presenting at a conference; (4) paid membership to a professional organization; (5) representing the KLC at admissions/orientation events; (6) participating in KLC working groups (DEI; Assessment; Communications and Outreach).
First-Year Experience (FYE) Fellow Elon University Campus
The Elon 1010 First-Year Seminar Program is pleased to announce a First-Year Experience (FYE) fellowship position to begin July 15, 2025. Elon University is ranked #1 in First-Year Experiences by U.S. World News & Report for the second year in a row. Elon 1010: The First-Year Advising Seminar is a nationally recognized signature FYE program at Elon, offered through a 1-credit hour, first-year seminar course designed on a foundation of holistic academic advising. Located in the Koenigsberger Learning Center (KLC), Elon 1010 works with new students until they declare a major, partners with students, faculty, and staff across campus to help clarify academic policies, and advises all students on appropriate resources for successful and timely degree completion. The FYE Fellow appointed to this temporary, 10-month position, will primarily assist with aspects of the Elon 1010 program related to first-year experience, academic advising, peer education, and assessment within the KLC. The Fellow appointed to this role will have an opportunity to renew the fellowship for a second and final year. Professional Development & Mentorship Opportunities: • NACADA Membership and access to professional development opportunities offered by NACADA. • Opportunity to attend/present at NACADA Region 3 Conference and other local conferences within Piedmont/Triad area. • Training and professional development provided on First-Year Experience, Academic Advising, Peer Education, and Assessment. • Teaching a First-Year Seminar course. • Access to Elon University Office of Leadership & Professional Development Workshops/Trainings. • Participate in weekly/bi-weekly 1-on-1 meetings with supervisor to reflect on learning, growth, and tasks/projects. This is a paid 10-month fellowship of $18,500. Full compensation package includes*: • $18,500 Stipend ($1850 Monthly Stipend with $3000 Meal Stipend) • On-Campus Housing provided/required in Mill Point Apartments (shared fully furnished university suite-style apartment with individual bedroom and bathroom. Utilities, internet, washer/dryer, TV streaming, parking and meal plan included.) • Access to Elon Campus Recreation Center, athletic and cultural events, and campus speakers. • *Please note health insurance benefits are not included.
