- This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus.
Purpose of Position
The Department Assistant plays a key role in the Herr School of Accountancy as the welcoming face of the department. This position supports the Chair, faculty, students, alumni, and other partners by providing excellent customer service and organizational support. Responsibilities include managing departmental finances, coordinating alumni events and outreach, and assisting with a variety of strategic and college-wide initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Department assistant and front desk coordinator for the department chair, faculty and students
- Assist with alumni relations, events and other department functions
- Coordinate department finances and other operations in collaboration with the department chair
- Support the NCoBPA Career Fair in collaboration with the Pancratz Career Development Center

Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Two years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or customer service support role
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree
- Two years of administrative experience in a higher ed/professional office setting that includes receptionist duties
- Experience with Qualtrics, or similar types of survey software
- Experience with systems used at UND: Blackboard, Campus Connection, HawkCentral, Adobe, Zoom, TEAMS
