Student Affairs is currently seeking applicants for the Director of Belonging. This Director will lead the Center for Multicultural Student Services (CMSS) and other belonging programming and initiatives. CMSS is an integral part of the student experience at James Madison University and strives to support campus through dialogue, leadership experiences, and celebrations beyond the classroom that honor all students. CMSS remains steadfast in assisting the university in its overall goal of promoting a welcoming community. The Center also seeks to encourage students to achieve and maintain academic excellence while assisting them in making successful adjustments to university life.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at James Madison University is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach a variety of chemistry and biochemistry courses. Our department currently serves about 3000 undergraduate students each year. We offer a wide variety of courses for chemistry majors, other STEM majors, general education, and pre-health professional students. We embrace access, inclusivity, and diversity because they are the foundational cornerstones of an outstanding education and environment for students, faculty and staff. Talent Development Intern - IE

JMU Talent Development (TD) is seeking an undergraduate or graduate intern to assist the department with special projects related to the training and development of AP Faculty, classified staff, and wage employees at JMU.
Projects may include, but are not limited to:
• Researching competencies related to employment at JMU and making recommendations for updating the current model.
• Creating an assessment, based on the competencies, that assists employees in making decisions regarding their professional development needs.
• Assisting with the development and possible delivery of content.
Providing support for the team, as needed, by:
• Staging and resetting training rooms
• Preparing handouts
• Assisting with marketing efforts
• Reviewing training evaluations and offering recommendations
This is a part-time wage position working an average of 15 hours per week over the school year (32 weeks) with no benefits. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation. Students with strong organizational and business analysis skills are encouraged to apply. |

The Shenandoah Valley Child Development Clinic is an interdisciplinary clinic that has been providing services to children and families from birth to 21 years of age for more than 40 years. The CDC is a grant funded program through the VA Department of Health. The clinic addresses concerns regarding education, behavior, health, emotions, development, and the parent-child relationship. We serve a broad range of clients that include foster children and high-risk families. Our primary goal is to ensure children receive the support and evaluation services needed to help them maximize their potential. The clinic’s hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. |
Assistant Sport Performance Coach (Part-time)

James Madison University, a Division I Member of the NCAA is seeking a Assistant Sport Performance Coach. This position will report to the Director of Basketball Performance and will be responsible for assisting in the administration of a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for Men’s and Women’s basketball and Men and Women’s Golf. The Assistant Sports Performance Coach will work as a member of the Strength and Conditioning Department. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain a high level of communication and energy, outstanding interpersonal skills, and professionalism. This individual will manage and maintain the Strength and Performance room located within the Atlantic Union Bank Center. The ability to work and function as a member of the Integrated Health and Sports Performance team is also essential.
This position is a part-time, 12-month position, which does not include benefits. |
