The College of Arts and Letters, in which the School of Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication is housed, enrolls over 3,100 undergraduate majors and about 150 graduate students across ten academic units in the humanities, social sciences, and communication studies. Home to several interdisciplinary centers and institutes, the College employs 270 full-time faculty. The Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services (IIHHS) is seeking a student employee to provide assistance with administrative tasks related to clinical billing and building management at Campbell Building, located at 755 Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Harrisonburg, within walking distance of campus. Applicants should be available to work up to 10-12 hours per week, including evening shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:00/5:00 to 8:00 p.m.), and additional flexibility for additional daytime hours on Mondays and Wednesdays. Student Access Advocate (SAA) - IE Harrisonburg
The Office of Disability Services (ODS) is seeking a motivated, reliable, and organized individual who enjoys connecting with others to serve as the 2025-2026 Student Access Advocate (SAA). The ideal candidate excels working alone as well as on a team to assist the department with engaging the community through the participation, creation, and implementation of disability advocacy events, as well as supporting students with disabilities, as needed. They must also have a willingness to assist with other program areas within the office, as needed. The Student Access Advocate (SAA) is expected to work 15-20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, during the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, with occasional hours outside of that timeframe.
