Accreditation Manager - Police Department (Part-Time) Harrisonburg
The James Madison University Police Department is seeking a knowledgeable, detail oriented Part-Time Accreditation Manager to lead, manage, and coordinate all aspects of our current state accreditation and pursue national accreditation for our law enforcement and public safety programs. This role is critical in ensuring our department's operations meet and exceed professional standards and best practices in public safety and law enforcement.
Student Graphic Design Assistant - IE Harrisonburg
The Office of Alumni Relations is seeking an outstanding student to assist in designing for print and web projects. The student assistant must be detailed-oriented, willing to work in a team atmosphere and have the ability to be creative while working within the parameters of the JMU brand. The Student Graphic Design Assistant must be available to work 12 hours per week (to be determined based on availability) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday within the Leeolou Alumni Center.
Alumni Front Desk and Office Assistant - FWS Harrisonburg
The Office of Alumni Relations is seeking an outstanding student to assist with the event planning and execution needs of the office. The student assistant should have a desire to learn about major alumni events, have great attention to detail, effective time management skills, and an interest in interacting with JMU alumni and donors. The Alumni Events and Office Assistant must be available to work 9 hours per week (to be determined based on availability) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, within the Leeolou Alumni Center. As an integral member of the Office of Alumni Relations Student Assistant Team, the student will be required to work special events such as Homecoming, Spring Reunions, Alumni Awards, and other ad hoc events as requested
Senior Philanthropic Advisor Harrisonburg
James Madison University (JMU) seeks a seasoned and successful professional to join the Principal Giving team in University Advancement as Senior Philanthropic Advisor at the Director level. The Senior Philanthropic Advisor will have a key role in building relationships and securing principal-level gifts for JMU that will have a transformative impact on the success of our students, faculty and campus environment. The successful candidate will have a passion for facilitating impactful philanthropy with individuals and families and will have the knowledge and tools to open and close conversations involving outright, deferred, and blended gifts of $1M+. A natural affinity for collaboration with university colleagues to serve and negotiate the best interests of JMU and the donors is also a key attribute. JMU’s star continues to rise. We have recently welcomed President Jim Schmidt and his exciting, thoughtful vision for JMU. Following the successful Unleashed campaign, which exceeded the stretch goal by 25 percent, we are now planning and staffing for a next, more ambitious campaign along with a strategic plan being finalized during FY26. The Principal Giving team collectively plays a critical role in significantly advancing JMU’s strategic priorities and the success of our students, faculty and campus environment. The Senior Philanthropic Advisor reports to the AVP for Principal Giving in University Advancement. The Senior Philanthropic Advisor is a senior member of the Principal Giving team and also serves as an experienced, creative and strategic thought partner with colleagues across University Advancement and beyond, with an eye towards sharing and developing best practices with fellow Director-level colleagues and collaborating on moving gifts and prospective donors through a successful donor development cycle.
Program Coordinator - Adult Degree Program Harrisonburg
JMU’s School of Professional & Continuing Education (SPCE) collaborates with individuals, business, and communities through transformative educational programs and experiences. SPCE offers a range of programs, including youth camps, adult degree completion, professional and workforce development, and lifelong learning, as well as partners with academic units across JMU to support a number of online or off-campus degree and certificate programs. The Adult Degree Program (ADP) seeks a Program Coordinator to help support program management, strategic planning, events, and communications.
