| The position is responsible for supporting the development of diverse middle and high school students' interests and potential for working in healthcare fields and professions through the implementation of a summer camp curriculum. An ability to model inclusive and nondiscriminatory practices in all activities is required. Through collaboration with the project team, health professionals, school officials, community members, and community professionals, the position assists youth in learning about healthcare positions. Camp staff are responsible for supervising and guiding camp participants to ensure their safety, engagement, and enjoyment during camp activities. |

| The Office of Admissions is accepting applications for multiple positions for Front Desk Student Assistants to support the JMU Visitation Team. This position serves a vital role in the daily operations of the office, in particular regarding prospective students and families. Our student assistants are the first to welcome families to campus and will assist them with navigating campus and answering any questions they may have about JMU and life as a student. We are looking for students who would like to share their love and knowledge of JMU with prospective students. |

James Madison University Presidential Engagement Fellows Program

| The Office of the President is pleased to announce recruitment for the 2026-2027 Presidential Engagement Fellows Program. The Presidential Engagement Fellows Program is a 10-month fellowship focused on leadership development for recent JMU graduates (undergraduate or graduate). Fellows receive a stipend of $14,813 to be paid out over 10 months and an additional housing stipend of $500 a month.
Fellows are placed within JMU offices where they contribute to projects and programs critical to the university’s mission, vision and values.
Key program details below:
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Recent JMU graduates (undergraduate or graduate)
Must be within one year of graduation (graduation date of May 2025, December 2025, or May 2026)
Fellows work an average of 29 hours per week in their placement office
Fellows participate as a cohort in weekly professional development sessions

Teaching Post Doctoral Associate (Two Positions) - Department of Engineering

| The Department of Engineering at James Madison University (JMU) invites applications for two teaching post-doctoral associates. This opportunity combines instructional experience, mentorship, and professional development to enable candidates to develop their pedagogical skills and a robust scholarship program in an undergraduate engineering context. Post-doctoral associates will teach within the Engineering curriculum while receiving individual mentorship from JMU faculty and will be provided opportunities to develop their own professional portfolio.
This is a fixed-term appointment at the rank of instructor. The appointment is for two 10-month periods, the first 10-month period will start August 10th, 2026, and the second 10-month period will start in August 2027. In the first period, associates will teach within the engineering fundamentals and design courses (ENGR 112, 231, and 232) and will work with an instructional team to enhance their instructional approaches and methods. In the second 10-month period, associates will have the opportunity to expand their experiences through opportunities such as: teaching upper-level courses, developing special topics courses, supervising undergraduate research or mentoring capstone projects. The specifics will be tailored to the individual and needs of the department, in consultation with the Academic Unit Head and their mentors. |
