Social Media Intern - Student Video Assistant - IE Harrisonburg
This position is primarily responsible for creating video content for the university’s digital properties in order to promote the university’s key priorities. We are looking to fill this position with students who are proficient in video creation in a fast-paced environment. Motion graphics experience is also preferred, although not required.

JMU Athletics Ticket Office Student Assistant  - IE Harrisonburg
The JMU Athletics Ticket Office is seeking motivated and reliable student assistants to join our team. As a student assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service to patrons in person, over the phone, and via email. Responsibilities include processing ticket sales for both phone and in-person transactions, assisting with game day event operations, and performing end-of-day balancing and reconciliation of cash drawers. You will also stay informed on all policies, events, and schedules to ensure efficient and accurate service. Additional duties include supporting crowd control, ticket sellers, and general operations, as well as facilitating pass gate operations for various admissions and complimentary passes. This position requires availability to work during ticketed events, including most home football games, and the ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately.
Academic Success Program Peer Instructor - IE Harrisonburg
The Academic Success Program (ASP) is a program intervention developed to assist JMU students on academic suspension or academic probation employ the academic strategies and personal motivations needed to be successful at JMU. The workshop sessions are focused on topics including time management, motivation/campus resources, studying, self-care, and professional etiquette. Topics will be delivered through discussion and exploration of the actions, strategies, and skills for immediate utilization. Peer Instructors (PIs) for the Academic Success Program (ASP) play a central role in empowering and supporting students facing academic and personal challenges by facilitating the program's curriculum and acting as a support system for ASP students. PIs will be assigned a caseload of 5-8 students with whom they will work throughout the entirety of the program. PIs also help to prepare workshop content and utilize their creative freedom to generate a plan and structure that best suits their facilitation style and the learning style of the student. This position can provide valuable experience for students looking to add new professional skills to their resumes.
