Pre-Award & System Support Specialist, Office of Sponsored Programs - Administrative Services Harrisonburg
With a customer service focus, this position will be the primary contact in the Office of Sponsored Programs-Administrative Services (OSP-AS) for answering questions and providing guidance on the university sponsored programs application process while maintaining a high level of compliance with university, federal, state regulations. Additionally, this position will provide regular support and maintenance on Cayuse and related systems, while keeping training materials updated. This position will provide manage OSP-AS data, including preparing reports for university leadership. In all activities, this position will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction acknowledging that faculty rarely embrace compliance or administrative issues.
Physician or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - University Health Center - (9 Month Position) Harrisonburg
The University Health Center provides a comprehensive array of health care services and health education programs to JMU students. Included in our health care services are several medical clinics, a pharmacy, a medical laboratory, and other programs that provide services for more than 30,000 patient encounters a year. UHC practices evidence-based medicine in a confidential, inclusive environment. This position is being recruited to support patient care within the Health Center and may be filled as either a Physician or a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), depending on the selected candidate’s licensure, credentials, and experience. While all providers serve in a primary care capacity for the student population, compensation and responsibilities may vary by role in accordance with scope of practice and organizational needs.
Export Control Manager Harrisonburg
The Export Control Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the university’s export control, research security, and Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) programs. Situated within the Office of Research Integrity and Compliance (ORIC), this position plays a central role in supporting a growing research enterprise at a Primarily Undergraduate Institution (PUI) transitioning from R2 to R1 status. Reporting to the Associate Director of Research Security and International Compliance, this role integrates export control compliance, research security requirements, and research integrity expectations into a cohesive and scalable framework. The position ensures institutional readiness for evolving federal mandates while fostering a culture of ethical, secure, and globally engaged research. This role blends regulatory compliance, strategic program development, and faculty engagement, requiring both technical expertise and strong relationship-building skills in a predominantly undergraduate-focused environment with expanding research activity.
