The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) is seeking a Study Abroad Advisor to support students throughout all phases of the study abroad experience, including pre-application advising, pre-departure preparation, and post-program re-entry. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Study Abroad Advising and Student Support, this part-time role (20–30 hours/week, not to exceed 1500 hours/calendar year) works in close partnership with the study abroad programs team and advising staff to deliver comprehensive advising and support student engagement with program offerings. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and diverse international education environment. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Personal Well-Being, the Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing student well-being through outreach and direct student engagement. This position is responsible for facilitating well-being coaching as a holistic, inclusive, and evidence-informed early intervention strategy. Using empathetic communication, motivational interviewing, and principles of positive psychology, the Coordinator will engage one-on-one with students to strengthen their commitment to health promoting behaviors. Additionally, the Coordinator will cultivate campus partnerships, grow referral pathways, provide consultation, and support the training and development of campus partners to promote and integrate personal well-being initiatives across the university. |
