We are inviting applications for a part-time Operations & Administrative Specialist position to assist our team in support of Faculty Success (FS) and the Center for Faculty Innovation (CFI) programs with duties related to general reception office duties, providing calendar management support, scheduled program support, assist with creating marketing material, assisting with website updates, assist with catering contracts and room reservations.
• Part-time, 12-month wage position beginning in late September 2025.
• Approximately 20-28 hours of work per week throughout the year.
• Work hours are typically during business hours of 8am – 5pm.
• Working on average 5-8 hours per weekday (Monday-Friday).
• One-hour lunch break.
• On-campus in-person position located in a reception "front" office environment setting. |
Assistant or Associate Professor (Tenure Track) - Statistics

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at James Madison University invites applications for one tenure-track position in statistics at the assistant or associate professor level to begin in August 2026. We are particularly interested in candidates with interests or expertise in statistics with connections to data science and interdisciplinary research.
Our energetic, collegial department is home to 57 full-time faculty in the areas of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education. Our programs provide meaningful learning experiences for majors and non-majors alike, both within and outside of the classroom. We care about people and value high-quality undergraduate education. We currently offer bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Statistics, including a concentration in Data Science, and minors in Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Analytics, and Mathematics for Elementary & Middle Grades Teachers. Scholarship in a variety of forms is supported and valued across all disciplines represented in the department. We have a strong history of supporting undergraduate research and outreach efforts, including hosting a well-established NSF-funded REU program (started in 2002) and a large annual undergraduate research conference (started in 2005). |

Senior Philanthropic Advisor
