Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Harrisonburg
The Occupational Therapy Clinical Education Services (OTCES) is a pediatric clinic providing one-on-one occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and consultative services, as well as group programs and camps offered to meet the needs of the community. With an academic connection to Department of Health Professions and a clinical connection to the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services, OTCES serves as a teaching-learning environment for students from many different programs while meeting distinct community needs. We are seeking an occupational therapist assistant to provide client care and supervision to occupational therapy students. This position will work collaboratively with the Clinic Director, Assistant Clinic Director, OTCES staff, and Occupational Therapy program faculty. OTCES promotes access, inclusion, and diversity for all clients, staff, faculty, and students. Academic Success Program Peer Instructor - IE Harrisonburg
The Academic Success Program (ASP) is a program intervention developed to assist JMU students on academic suspension or academic probation employ the academic strategies and personal motivations needed to be successful at JMU. The workshop sessions are focused on topics including time management, motivation/campus resources, studying, self-care, and professional etiquette. Topics will be delivered through discussion and exploration of the actions, strategies, and skills for immediate utilization. Peer Instructors (PIs) for the Academic Success Program (ASP) play a central role in empowering and supporting students facing academic and personal challenges by facilitating the program's curriculum and acting as a support system for ASP students. PIs will be assigned a caseload of 5-8 students with whom they will work throughout the entirety of the program. PIs also help to prepare workshop content and utilize their creative freedom to generate a plan and structure that best suits their facilitation style and the learning style of the student. This position can provide valuable experience for students looking to add new professional skills to their resumes.

Youth Development Specialist - IE Harrisonburg
The position is responsible for supporting the development of diverse middle and high school students' interest and potential for working in healthcare fields and professions through planning, development, implementation, and monitoring program efforts across statewide project sites. An ability to model inclusive and nondiscriminatory practices in all activities is required. Through collaboration with the project team, health professionals, school officials, community members, and community professionals, the position assists youth in learning about healthcare positions and assists participants in completing the community health worker apprentice modules. Creating a positive youth health development program requires learning module content, providing group engagement, mentoring/modeling, working with families, evaluating programming, tracking outcomes, and completing reports. Geospatial Semester Mentor Harrisonburg
JMU’s School of Professional & Continuing Education collaborates with individuals, business, and communities through transformative educational programs and experiences. SPCE offers a range of programs, including youth camps, adult degree completion, professional and workforce development, and lifelong learning, as well as partners with academic units across JMU to support a number of online or off-campus degree and certificate programs. Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) - Data Science Harrisonburg
