Job Summary/Basic Functions

The primary responsibilities of the Program Assistant are to assist with the planning and implementation of all student leadership development initiatives.This role requires the Program Assistant to be available to work during regular office hours and to be on-site for programming during evening and weekend hours. The Program Assistant is required to live in UMW provided housing due to the late-night and weekend programming requirements, as well as support to the New Student Programs Office as needed. This person will also serve as a member of the University's crisis response team through a rotating on-call schedule.

Required Experience:

Participation in student leadership roles on campus. Experience in student event programming. Experience in mentoring or advising members of a campus student community. Knowledge of general student involvement policies.

Additional Considerations:

KSAs
Supervisory experience with campus peers. Website and social media management. Event/program management. Experience with/involvement in student leadership positions and/or development at the undergraduate level.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate area of specialization.
