The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Mary Washington invites applications for one or more Visiting Assistant Professor positions to begin August 15, 2025, with a possibility of renewal. UMW is a liberal arts and sciences university dedicated to effective teaching and undergraduate research in an inclusive environment that embraces diverse talents and backgrounds. The department seeks broadly-trained biologists to teach courses in introductory biology and two or more upper-level courses to fill projected needs: human or chordate anatomy, cellular biology, exercise physiology, immunology, human physiology, or biostatistics. Candidates may also have opportunities to develop additional upper-level courses in their discipline. Candidates should provide evidence of excellence in teaching undergraduates. The normal teaching load is 12 credit hours each semester. Completion of the Ph.D. is required by August 15, 2025.

Financial Aid Student Aide

Responsibilities include receiving and answering basic financial aid-related questions for incoming customers via telephone, e-mail, and front desk reception; intelligently explaining to customers basic information about Federal Student Aid programs and processes; providing excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality of students’ records appropriate to FERPA regulations; working closely with the Student Aid Coordinator to ensure efficient document flow; notifying students when incoming forms are incomplete; assisting the Financial Aid staff with projects and tasks as assigned. |
