The Department of Information Science invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Information Science with a focus on user interface and user experience (UI/UX) to begin in Spring or Fall 2026. We are seeking excellent candidates with research, teaching, and/or practice background in UI/UX design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), cognitive science, interactive information retrieval, information visualization, computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW), or a related field.

Maintains and updates student status records, transcript evaluations, degree plan audits, and graduation applications. Responsible for taking a leadership role in training and mentoring other advisors, participating in outreach/recruitment activities, managing special projects and/or serving as a subject matter expert on specialized majors and determining how transfer credits apply toward degree requirements.
