This position is responsible for the direction and oversight of the University's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs. The Director provides leadership to a number of EHS professionals with ultimate oversight of programs involving environmental regulatory compliance, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials, laboratory and biosafety, radiation, fire safety, public health, and food safety. This position serves as the primary point of contact in all safety matters. The position provides consultative assistance and technical guidance to leadership and the greater campus community. This role participates with all levels of the campus organization to develop and implement appropriate policies and practices while continually evaluating established procedures for compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. |
