Adjunct faculty plans classes and implements and evaluates teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes. Adjunct faculty undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours. The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction for General Biology and upper level Biology courses and the associated labs (e.g. Microbiology and the associated lab). Most of these labs are offered in the afternoon or evenings. Instruction for science lecture courses (Earth Science, Environmental Science) for non-majors may also be possible. |

UNT Dallas is a dynamically growing institution, and the number of available adjunct positions is dependent on student enrollment, division needs, and approval of the dean. Adjunct faculty plan classes and implement and evaluate teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes. Adjunct faculty undertake the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours. The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction in entry-level English courses, including Developmental Writing, College Writing I and II, Technical Writing, and World Literature.
Adjunct faculty members may be required to use certain texts and meet certain parameters set by the Department of Languages, Linguistics, and Rhetoric (LLR). Adjunct instructors will also be required to include, in their courses, certain student assessment measures determined by the department.

The Foundations Program in the College of Visual Arts and Design seeks an adjunct colleague with expertise in a Design, Visual Art, or related discipline/s, and who understands various approaches in teaching in the Foundations curriculum. The Foundations Program, at the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas, has a lecture/lab format of course delivery (i.e., classroom learning in a once week lecture as one cohort and with hands-on work in separate studios). The adjunct faculty will work closely with the Foundations Director and faculty to facilitate the success of student learning to achieve a cohesive curriculum goal for all students. |
