The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction in entry-level English courses, including Developmental Writing, College Writing I and II, Technical Writing, and World Literature. Adjunct faculty members may be required to use certain texts and meet certain parameters set by the Department of Languages, Linguistics, and Rhetoric (LLR). Adjunct instructors will also be required to include, in their courses, certain student assessment measures determined by the department. The Foundations Program in the College of Visual Arts and Design seeks an adjunct colleague with expertise in a Design, Visual Art, or related discipline/s, and who understands various approaches in teaching in the Foundations curriculum. The Foundations Program, at the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas, has a lecture/lab format of course delivery (i.e., classroom learning in a once week lecture as one cohort and with hands-on work in separate studios). The adjunct faculty will work closely with the Foundations Director and faculty to facilitate the success of student learning to achieve a cohesive curriculum goal for all students.
