The Office of Orientation and Transition Programs is a department within the Division of Student Affairs and provides new students, continuing students, and family members with the tools necessary to make a smooth transition to UNT and toward graduation. Interns in the office play an integral role in the success of programs by providing leadership to event organization, supervising student leaders, and completing projects related to the university’s goals. A major component of the internship is providing opportunities for the intern to practice communication with diverse constituent groups, demonstrate event planning skills, and increase their knowledge about a student’s transition into the university setting. |

We are looking for persons with the availability to work part or all of the 2024 summer with weekend availability including early mornings and late evenings. Applicants must be able to work a few days during the week must be comfortable around pools. Applicants must be proficient in swimming and will be required to swim 300 yards weekly. Since we work in a service-oriented environment, our number one goal is to uphold customer service standards while maintaining a safe aquatic facility. Lifeguards should enforce and abide by all facility rules, regulations, and policies. |

The Henard Laboratory in The BioDiscovery Institute seeks to hire a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher. The laboratory’s research focuses on the physiology and metabolism of methanotrophic bacteria to guide the development of biotechnologies targeting conversion of waste gas to valuable “green” products. The postdoctoral researcher will work on projects aimed at developing advanced genetic tools for engineering methanotrophic bacteria to maximize carbon assimilation and conversion. |
