This supervisor will be responsible for assisting culinary operations and overseeing the operations of the hydroponic farms in dining services. This is an experienced cook’s position which also includes training and managing part-time student employees in all areas of the dining hall and farm operations. This position is responsible for ensuring employees prepare high quality and flavorful food for all our customers daily while providing a fun, friendly atmosphere. In addition to other supervisor duties this position will oversee the food production including the preparation of daily specials, entrees, meats, vegetables, salads, and other items using recipes, as well as the operation of various kitchen equipment.
Archival Film and Video Specialist/Program Project Specialist Denton
The University of North Texas is seeking an Archival Film and Video Specialist for a unique opportunity to fulfill licensing requests for moving image and photography collections held by UNT Libraries and assist in other duties related to ongoing digitization and digital access to archival film and video collections. The Archival Film and Video Specialist will work primarily with the NBC/KXAS Television News Collection, an archive of over 60 years of original television news programming. This position will work with filmmakers, curators, authors, and others to perform in-depth research to identify relevant archival materials, complete license agreements and collect licensing revenue. Additionally, this person will assist in performing quality control for digitized film and video footage, promoting the archive through social media and networking opportunities, and providing assistance to the Digital Archivist and Metadata Specialist on other relevant film and video projects. The Film and Video Specialist will work primarily at Willis Library in Denton, Texas, and may be required to occasionally visit library storage facilities in Denton. Under the supervision of the Head of Special Collections, the Film and Video Specialist may also participate in departmental initiatives such as workshops, instruction, digitization, and metadata creation as needed.
