Political Science Adjunct Instructor Pool, AY 2026-2027	Dallas
Adjunct faculty plans classes and implements and evaluates teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes in conjunction with the Program Coordinator. Adjunct faculty undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours. The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction for lower-division Political Science courses, including American Government I (National), American Government II (state), Introduction to Political Science, Introduction to Public Policy, and various other political science courses. Supervision of graduate student clinicians is performed autonomously, under the Clinical Directors general direction regarding established policies and procedures of the UNT clinic and programmatic expectations of student clinicians. The supervisor determines specific clinical objectives and treatment plans for each client and guides student clinicians towards achieving evidence-based standards of clinical practice. The supervisor is responsible for guiding and mentoring clinical students in their development of assessment and treatment abilities, clinical paperwork and reporting, and implementation of state of the art, evidence-based assessment and treatment practices. The supervisor independently plans and carries out clinical assignments, resolves conflicts, coordinates student activities and clinical expectations, and stays informed about clinical policy. The supervisor maintains close contact with, and keeps clinic director informed of programmatic progress, potential clinical issues, student issues, and other issues of relevance for the UNT Speech and Hearing Center.
