| The Budget Officer ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial operations, oversees procurement and personnel transactions, and manages reconciliations across multiple complex budgets. The position ensures that complex and varied budgets — including operating, travel, fees, discretionary, and other funding types — are monitored and reconciled consistently across these units.
The Budget Officer provides comprehensive budgetary, financial, and operational support for the departments that report to the Associate Vice President, including Student Accounting, Veterans Benefits, UNT One Stop, and the Student Money Management Center. These departments deliver essential student services that directly impact enrollment, retention, and overall student success.
The role also serves as a building representative for the Eagle Student Services Center, coordinating daily operations, building projects, and repairs to maintain a functional and student-centered environment. By aligning budget management with facility oversight, the Budget Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations that support essential student services.
This position reports to the Associate Vice President, Student Accounting & UNT One Stop.
