The Department of Social Work seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 semesters. The specific courses available vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses may develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs. The anticipated need is for adjunct instructors to teach courses across the curriculum in both the BSW and MSW programs. Examples of courses include Social Welfare Policy, Human Behavior, and Field Seminar. Both of our programs are primarily face to face with most classes meeting during the day on the UNT Denton campus. There is limited opportunity for online teaching. |

Responsible for providing technical support, equipment maintenance, and safety oversight of academic shop/classroom studio operations. Assists and instructs students and faculty on the proper use of equipment and effective shop/studio practices. Provides direct and indirect curriculum, classroom, and programmatic support for instruction in the CVAD Foundations Programs instructor and students. This position will work closely with the Foundations Director on programmatic support on an ongoing basis. |

Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor requires a demonstrated record of scholarly, peer-reviewed publications and academic experience commensurate with the rank at an AACSB-accredited institution. Tenure is not granted at appointment and must be earned through the university’s formal tenure review process.
This is a full-time, 9-month faculty appointment. The standard teaching load is 4 courses per semester (4/4). Faculty are expected to maintain regular on-campus presence at least two days per week for office hours, meetings, and engagement activities.
