K92 Mining Limited operates the Kainantu Gold Mine in the Eastern Highlands Province. Since we launched in 2016, we've grown gold production every year, boosting Papua New Guinea's economy. We take pride in supporting your communities, with nearly 94% of our team members being fellow PNG locals.

About the role

• Conduct geological functions on the mine correctly and in a timely manner.
• Member of the Mine Technical Services team providing geological support across the organization.
• Observe and adhere to the workplace Health & Safety policies.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• All Mine sampling activities – not limited to faces, stopes, broken ore, self-mined ore, PAF/NAF, stockpiles, sludge holes on regular basis.
• Ore spotting and tracking.
• Drill core cutting and sampling.
• Core recovery/RQD logging/core photography.
• Density tests.
• Coreshed and Corefarm management.
• Ensure correct QA/QC protocols are adhered to.
• Drilling inspections and monitoring.
• Face mapping and sampling.
• Maintain safe work standards and practices in accordance with government and company policy.
• Perform all tasks and roles to support and reflect the company’s mission and core values. 

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have some or all the following.

• Grade ten (10) certificate – minimum.
• Able to perform duties under minimum supervision.
• Must be a self-starter and be very resourceful and of sober habit.
• Good health and physical ability are a prerequisite, as is the ability to live in a remote environment with limited facilities.
• Be flexible, adaptable and be a team player.
• Able to communicate effectively with relevant supervisors.
