211 - Accounting & Compliance Manager	Brownsville
As a key member of the finance team, the Accounting and Compliance Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer / Director of Finance and will work closely with the entire finance and accounting teams in creating plans, forecasts and assist with month end close, account reconciliations. The Accounting Compliance Manager is responsible to manage and maintain accounting, financial, and budget records. The class is responsible for performing advanced professional level accounting work involving the research, analysis, and compliance of accounting, financial, and budget transactions and the reporting of municipal finances. Position provides technical guidance to City departments and Finance Department professional staff regarding the application and interpretation of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. May exercise functional or technical supervisory or leadership role over other assigned staff. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed; develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
424 - City Forester	Brownsville
The City Forester will review, plan, issue permits and inspect landscaping in the field, ensuring compliance with the City of Brownsville landscaping Unified Development Code (UDC) ordinances. This position works with landscape architects, developers, committees, and citizens to maximize the City's urban forest. Further, this position works to maintain and preserve the appearance of City property, including parks, right-of-way, and open space. This position reports to the Department Director, Assistant Director of Engineering & Public Works and Greens Manager and may attend various meetings in support of department objectives and tasks.

The Maintenance Worker I is to assist in the maintenance of City facilities. The class is responsible for maintenance of streets and roads, grounds, water and sewer facilities, and related maintenance tasks. The class works according to set procedures under direct supervision.

The Maintenance Worker I is responsible for performing general inside and outside building and grounds maintenance activities to include but is not limited to: clean, sweep, wax, paint, perform carpentry and building repair duties; mow, trim trees, dig ditches and trenches; clean and sweep parking lots and surrounding areas. Perform manual labor involved in park and trail maintenance.
