The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating and executing the City of Brownsville’s social media and digital content strategy to effectively inform, engage and connect with residents, businesses, visitors, community partners and other stakeholders. Working under the direction of the Director of Communications and Marketing and with the supervision of the Digital Marketing Coordinator, the Social Media Coordinator develops timely, accurate, engaging and brand-aligned content across the City’s social media platforms. The position uses audience insights, social media analytics, social listening, current trends and community feedback to strengthen the City’s digital presence and improve how the City communicates with the public. The Social Media Coordinator collaborates with the Communications & Marketing Department staff, other City departments, elected officials, and other team members to identify community information, stories, programs, services, and initiatives that should be shared through the City’s digital channels. The position plays an important role in ensuring the City provides accessible, transparent, timely and consistent information to the public while maintaining the City’s established communications, branding and editorial standards.

The Golf Pro Shop Attendant must have excellent attention to detail & standards of cleanliness; anticipate customer needs; and excellent listening skills to be responsive to customer concerns, primarily about the conditions of the golf course and services offered at the golf center and communicate feedback to the golf team in order to provide excellent service. Must demonstrate knowledge in proper handling of money, basic computer programs, and ability to work unsupervised. Must maintain a positive costumer rapport and uphold a high-level customer service. Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Brownsville Golf Center and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary. Golf Pro Shop Attendant must be neat and well-groomed in accordance to the Brownsville Golf Center and Parks and Recreation Department dress code. The Golf Pro Shop Attendant is responsible in assisting the flow of golfers onto the golf course to ensure customer satisfaction, distributes golf carts for all golfers, and assist in maintaining the Brownsville Golf Center during events and create a safe environment for golfers and guests. The Golf Pro Shop Attendant position reports to the Golf Center Manager.
