303 - Emergency Manager Planner

The purpose of the class is to maintain the emergency planning documentation and plans for the City of Brownsville and its individual departments, and assist various businesses and organizations in maintaining their appropriate level of planning and preparedness. The class is responsible for coordinating local homeland security program grants and FEMA SSP Funding Grants. The class will create, plan and review Incident Actions Plans. They will review, recommend and update accordingly the city's Emergency Operations Plan. The class is responsible for providing technical assistance at public meetings, and for reviewing fiscal performance and equipment inventories of recipient departments. The class works according to some procedures; yet decides how and when to do things under general supervision. |
610A - Maintenance Worker I

The class will perform a variety of tasks, which include any combination of sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, digging and related maintenance tasks. Performs technical, administrative, and professional work assisting the Emergency Management Administrator with emergency planning documentation for the City of Brownsville and its individual departments and assist various businesses and organizations with emergency preparedness presentations. Responsible in assisting to coordinate local homeland security program grants and Emergency Management Performance Grants. Also responsible for providing technical assistance at public meetings, and for reviewing fiscal performance and equipment inventories of recipient departments. |
418 - EQUIPMENT OPERATOR III

The Equipment Operator III is responsible to operate complex heavy equipment necessary in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of facilities. The Equipment Operator III is responsible for crew leadership, routine maintenance procedures, safe and effective loading and operation, and storage. The Equipment Operator III works within a general outline of work to be performed; develops work methods and sequences under general supervision. |
