The purpose of the class is to enforce city construction ordinances and assist clients in drafting construction plans so that plan specifications meet minimum code requirements. The class is responsible for facilitating right-of-way and utility permit applications, inspecting sub-division construction sites, and reviewing construction plans and permits. The class works according to some procedures; decides how and when to do things under general supervision.

The Maintenance Worker I is responsible for performing maintenance of airfield and airport facilities, including the interior and exterior of the passenger terminal. The employee works according to set procedures under direct supervision and strictly adheres to all applicable state and local laws, regulations, safety rules, departmental policies, and procedures.
137 - Project Contract Administrator Brownsville
The Project Contract Administrator will work collaboratively with enterprise-wide City Departments to assist with project and contract management for facilities, roads, and utilities. The position may also include working with external partners on special projects and as a liaison for City Departments. The Project Contract Administrator will be responsible for reviewing contract documents, procurement methods, and tracking project deliverables. In addition, the Project Contract Administrator is responsible for preparing project reports for Executive Leadership. The position will be working side by side with engineers, contractors, architects, vendors, and clients. This position will report directly to the EPMO Director.

This position provides citywide leadership, coordination, and oversight of the City’s Boards and Commissions program, administering approximately thirty-two (32) Boards and Commissions. The position oversees the full lifecycle of Boards and Commissions membership, including applications, appointments, onboarding, offboarding, and compliance requirements. Reporting to the Administrative Assistant, this position exercises independent judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying federal, state, and local laws governing public meetings, ethics, records management, and board operations. In addition to governance responsibilities, this position supports office administration through coordination of workflows, documentation, and cross-departmental initiatives within the Office of the City Secretary. The position also provides administrative coordination support for legislative, regulatory, and compliance-related activities within the Office of the City Secretary.
512 - Maintenance Worker I Brownsville
The Maintenance Worker I is responsible for performing general inside and outside building and grounds maintenance activities to include but is not limited to: clean, sweep, wax, paint, perform carpentry and building repair duties; mow, trim trees, dig ditches and trenches; clean and sweep parking lots and surrounding areas. Perform manual labor involved in park and trail maintenance.
