The Maintenance Worker I is responsible for performing maintenance of streets and roadways, right of way, grounds, pump and valve stations, by repairing cleaning, painting and repairing cave-ins drains and other related maintenance tasks. Performs routine landscaping maintenance such as trimming trees, hedges, bushes, and mowing lawns and other related tasks as necessary. The employee works according to set procedures under direct supervision and strictly adheres to all applicable state and local laws, regulations, safety rules, departmental policies, and procedures.

The Equipment Operator I is responsible for operating equipment necessary in the maintenance repair and upkeep of streets and roadways, right of way, grounds, repairing cave-ins, drains and other related maintenance tasks. Operates specialized equipment, machinery or vehicles such as heavy construction vehicles, trucks with hydraulic pumping equipment, pressure sprayers, paving equipment, jackhammers, backhoes or cranes and other related tasks as necessary. The employee works according to set procedures under direct supervision and strictly adheres to all applicable state and local laws, regulations, safety rules, department policies, and procedures.

The Engineering Inspector I is responsible for providing plan review and construction quality assurance through physical inspection of construction site and project coordination, as well as, site development inspections for compliance. These duties are performed for public street construction and reconstruction, earthwork, and construction development projects. Employee works independently in the field and is responsible for decision making requiring technical discretion, sound judgement, and familiarity with a variety of codes, ordinances, and construction methods or problems. The Ordinance Enforcement Officer I is responsible to enforce city ordinances and issue citations for violations of those ordinances.
