The VCU Department of Radiology gained Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE) recognition from the American College of Radiology for a second, three-year term in March 2025. Among adult imaging centers, VCU Health is the only health system to achieve the designation in Richmond, Virginia, the only academic medical center in Virginia, and only one of 20 academic medical facilities in the United States.
The Division of Diagnostic Radiology is an active clinical and academic service responsible for all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology with state-of-the-art technology at multiple VCU Health locations in central Virginia.
VCU Medical Center is the only comprehensive Level I trauma center in the Commonwealth that is both nationally and state verified in adult, pediatric and burn trauma care. |
