The VCU L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs invites applications for a Director of Communications and External Relations. Reporting to the Wilder School Dean, the Director of Communications and External Relations is responsible for the School’s internal and external communication, marketing, and events. This individual will work closely with the Associate and Assistant Deans and Directors, faculty, and staff, as well as collaborate with the University Communications Office to meet strategic internal and external goals through print and digital collateral, news releases, feature and web content, advertising, and online and social media. The director manages activities and staff, and develops and leads a communications and marketing strategy focused at the local, state, national and international levels, and manages all related activities and staff to 1) advance the public’s awareness of an engagement with the School; 2) support initiatives of the school; 3) develop and refine the School brand (including print, web, and new media materials); 4) refine communications products and services that help to achieve the School’s mission and strategic goals and; 5) support annual and signature event programming and production.

Hourly Technician	VCU Main Campus
A Laboratory Technician position is available in Dr. Xuewei Wang’s lab in the Department of Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. Research areas in the Wang lab include chemical sensors and drug delivery. The successful candidate is expected to conduct chemistry and/or cell/bacteria experiments under the guidance of the lab PI and senior group members. Depending on the level of contribution, the technician is typically granted authorship on resulting publications. Hourly rate will be based on the qualifications, experiences, and skillsets of the selected candidate. Required Qualifications Chemistry or biology or microbiology major or experience in related areas. Ability to collect and organize data in a reliable and efficient way. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Wet lab experience or cell/bacteria culturing experience.
SOM Cardiothoracic Radiologist (M68190)	MCV Main Campus
The mission of the Department of Radiology is to create a world-class department by providing optimal care in a patient-centered environment, providing sub-specialty expertise, providing top quality imaging and therapeutic procedures, and to advance medical education and research, with a vision to create a department that lives up to the “Image of Excellence” mantra and that is recognized as top tier nationally and internationally. The VCU Department of Radiology gained Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE) recognition from the American College of Radiology for a second, three-year term in March 2025. Among adult imaging centers, VCU Health is the only health system to achieve the designation in Richmond, Virginia, the only academic medical center in Virginia, and only one of 20 academic medical facilities in the United States. VCU Medical Center is the only comprehensive Level I trauma center in the Commonwealth that is both nationally and state verified in adult, pediatric and burn trauma care. The Division of Diagnostic Radiology is an active clinical and academic service responsible for all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology with state-of-the-art technology at multiple VCU Health locations in central Virginia.
