English Adjunct (Rolling Pool) VCU Main Campus
The Virginia Commonwealth University College of Humanities and Sciences is recruiting a pool of adjunct faculty through June 30, 2026, for course sections within the English Department in the areas of Writing, Creative Writing, Linguistics, Literature and Film. This pool will be utilized on an as-needed basis. Your application will remain active until June 30, 2026; you may resubmit your application for subsequent years. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Position duties include: • Meet all designated course instruction guidelines. • Grade assignments and exams promptly based on instructions/rubric provided. • Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours. • Submit final grades according to College/Department policy Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field with experience and specialized expertise directly related to the position. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a member of VCU. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or another doctoral degree in a related discipline or directly related to the position is highly preferred. Previous experience teaching courses within the Department of English curriculum. Demonstrated teaching experience.

Adjunct Instructor - Supply Chain Management and Analytics, School of Business VCU Main Campus
The Supply Chain and Analytics (SCMA) department in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University invites applicants for a pool of adjunct instructors. This pool will be used to fill teaching needs on an ongoing basis, and qualified applicants will be contacted for interviews as needs arise. The department offers graduate and undergraduate courses in Operations Management, Global Supply Chain Management, Business Statistics, Analytics, Logistics, Procurement, and Quality Management, and other related topics. Courses are offered in a variety of modalities (in-person, online, and hybrid), with a particular need for instructors to teach in-person courses at VCU’s School of Business (Snead Hall, Richmond VA). Chair, Department of Theatre and Dance - VCUarts VCU Main Campus
The Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) is excited to announce an opportunity for an impactful, visionary, and collaboration-oriented academic leader to serve as the inaugural Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance, pending approval of the department by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). A key position in the School of the Arts, the Department Chair reports to the Senior Director of the Performing Arts Group and the Dean and is supported by academic and administrative staff. The Chair serves as a mentor to faculty colleagues, collaborates with administrative leaders and staff members, and advocates for the department from a perspective that considers the best overall interests of the School as well as the department. The Chair leads faculty in important processes that shape the curriculum that has an impact on student learning as well as the research activities of the faculty. The Chair strives to effectively articulate both the department and the School’s missions to internal and external constituencies, and establishes a welcoming academic environment that encourages engagement, participation, collegiality, and respect.
